Frequently Asked Questions
How snapyt handles YouTube extraction, format selection, and file delivery.
Is snapyt free?
Yes. You can paste a public YouTube URL on the homepage and inspect the available video and audio formats directly.
Which platforms are supported now?
This page supports YouTube URLs only, including regular videos and YouTube Shorts. Non-YouTube links should go to SnapVee Download.
How does homepage extraction work?
Copy a YouTube video or Shorts URL, paste it into the homepage input, and submit. The result cards now appear inline instead of on a separate download page.
What formats can I choose from?
The homepage only shows 720 / 480 / 360 and one audio track export. Use SnapVee Download if you need 1080p+, multi-language audio, or video/audio merge handling.
Does it support YouTube Shorts?
Yes. Shorts URLs are handled through the same homepage extraction flow and return the available formats inline.
What if extraction fails?
First confirm the video is still publicly accessible and the URL has not expired. If it still fails, try SnapVee Download instead.
Does it work on mobile browsers?
Yes. iPhone and Android browsers can submit links directly, and downloaded files can then be saved through the browser, Files app, or share sheet.
Do I need to install software or an extension?
No. The current public workflow is browser-based.
What can I do with downloaded content?
Use it only for lawful personal archiving, study, research, internal collaboration, or other clearly authorized purposes.
